In Memory . . .

Gary Conrad Litzo
1935 - 2009

Gary was born on April 7, 1935 to John F. and Annette Kammeyer Lltzo in Ogden, Utah. He attended Granite High school where he soon met the love of his life, Geraldine Utley. They were married in July of 1954.
After graduating high school he went into the tile trade. He was very talented and well respected in his field. He also served as a fire fighter for Salt Lake County Fire Department. He served for 27 years and retired as a Captain in 1996.
Gary was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He spent many summers boating and waterskiing with friends and family. His dogs were his best friends; the minute he sat down in his chair he had a dog on his lap.
Gary died September 27, 2009 peacefully and surrounded by his family. All will miss him.
He survived by his wife, three children: Brett, Shan, and Scott. Six grandchildren, three great-grand children and his brother Charles (Darlene). Preceded in death by his parents and his brother John.
In lieu of flowers give your dog a hug, if you don't have one go buy one.
If anyone would care to share a memory or a thought about Gary, some time will be provided after the viewing. The Viewing will be held Thursday, October 1st, 12:30 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial, 3115 East 7800 South. Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m.
