James 'Wayne' Baldridge
"Popo"

James 'Wayne' Baldridge passed away October 14, 2010 with his family by his side. Wayne was born August 18, 1947 to James Edward and Ruth Etta Baldridge in Visalia, California. Wayne graduated from West High School in 1965 and enlisted with the U.S. Army. He proudly served our country in two tours of Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles. After 27 years of service, Wayne retired as an Engineer for Salt Lake County Fire. He also was an EMT for Salt Lake County. Wayne enjoyed fishing, the Utah Jazz, University of Utah football and the Dallas Cowboys. Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Alyn Fackrell Baldridge; his children, Travis (Amy), Kimberly (Gordon) Burkholder, and Kristin Leystra and Bryan (Leisl) Leystra. Wayne was the grandfather of seven grandchildren whom he loved very much. He will also be missed by his sister Judy Marshall of Florida; brother Donnie (Jeanette) of Maine; and Chuck (Georgeanne) of Florida. Preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Ray and Helen Fackrell; his first wife, mother of Travis and Kim, Pam Harvick Cooke; and his four legged daughter Phoebe, who is ferociously wagging her tail in happiness at his arrival home. Please join us in a celebration of his life on Monday, October 18, 2010, at the Granger West 9th Ward, 4460 West Cortney Drive (2800 South), West Valley City, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the cultural hall.
