Joseph Donald Hill
Jr. 1939 ~ 2006
Our loving husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend passed away Wednesday, December 27th at the age of 67, after a lengthy illness which he fought with dignity. Don was born September 22, 1939, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Joseph Donald Hill Sr. and Darl E. Miller, the oldest of six children. He married Judy Rae Dimond on November 28, 1958, and together they raised their three children. He was a graduate of West High School, 1957, and served on the West High Alumni Association for many years. Don was employed with the Salt Lake City Fire Department, attained the rank of Battalion Chief, and retired in 1997, after 30 years of service. He also worked at the Fire Fighters Credit Union where he enjoyed many close associations. He found joy in hunting and fishing and had a special love for his dogs. He is survived by wife Judy, children Cary Hill (Janis), Robyn Curtis (Gary), Michelle Hunt (Brian) and family friend Nicole Probst (Jared), eight grandchildren and four brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by parents and sister Barbara Quintana. Funeral services will be held at the Little Cottonwood 20th Ward house on 1160 E. Vine Street, Murray, UT at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30. A viewing will be held Friday, Dec. 29, 2006 at Memorial Estates, 5850 S. 900 E., Murray, Utah from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to the funeral services at the church.
