Jim worked for Kennecott for 15 years in the train service, after which he worked for the Salt Lake County Fire Department for 31 years retiring as Deputy Fire Marshall. With these jobs, he made many life long friends Jim attended the retirement lunches every month with the firemen and sorely missed those who had passed on before him. We all loved Jim's great sense of humor and will miss laughing at the stories of his youth and wild adventures with his friends. He is survived by his wife Donna, daughter Marlynn Shaffer, grandchildren, Janeen, Jordan, Janette, and Garrett and seven great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, one sister Shirley Webster and son-in-law Bob Shaffer.
