Joseph Reuel McPhie
1912 ~ 2008

Joseph Reuel McPhie, 95, passed away March 17, 2008.He was born April 7, 1912 at home in Salt Lake City to Joseph Hyrum and Ruby McPhie, the first of nine children. He attended public schools on the west side of Salt Lake, graduating from LDS High School in 1930. He served a Mexican Mission and he loved and used the language well all these years. He worked hard all of his life. After retiring from the SLC Fire Dept., he worked in sales, importing and for the LDS Church. He held many positions in the LDS Church including another mission, this time to Peru in '97 and '98. Preceded in death by his wife, Callie Jensen and survived by their seven children, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, also four brothers and one sister. Graveside services will be held Mon., March 24th, 11 a.m. at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery, 2350 E. 1300 S.
